First order of business - Today is July 17th - my step-son Kamalu is 15 today.
Other stuff - as most everyone knows, we just got back from the East Coast. We had a fun filled itinerary while we were there. My family thought we were nuts but, we got to do stuff that I never did while I lived there & the kids didn't get bored - or at least, I don't think they did.
Day 1: We left on a red flight on July 1st - We got the airport @ 11:00 on the 30th. Our red eye was te worst red eye because we didn't really get to get any sleep. We had two layovers - one in Minneapolis - We didn't have to change planes, just get off wait an hour and reboard. Our other layover was in Detroit it was supposed to be a 5 hour layover - it ended up being closed to 7. So, what did we do:
Nicole was sleeping. I don't know why we don't have a picture of that. Here she is just after she woke up...
We got to my Mom's house around 7:00 pm. It was a very LONG day. It was nice to be home.
Day Two: No Rest for the weary or restless. We took the kids to Ricketts Glen State Park. It was a nice way to spend the day. We enjoyed kickin' back at Lake Jean & did a little bit of hiking to see a couple waterfalls. It would have been great to see more of them - Next trip!
This is the beach area. Pono, Caitlyn, & Nicole are getting ready to get wet!!
C.J, Jazmine, Aunt Karen, Nicole, & Caitlyn drying off.
This is C.J: Jeff's son. He is three years old and as cute as can be!!
Here we are on our hike getting ready to see the waterfalls. What a silly bunch!
The kids wanted to jump off the log. So, they did. It's the simple things in life, really... Pono got this awesome shot of Kamalu. No he does not have three legs, that is Nicole behind him.
This is the second water fall and the last one we went to. It was getting late and didn't want to get stuck on a trail in the dark - so, we enjoyed the COLD water and started back to the car.
