Last week, John's sister Kathy came to visit and to find a place to live; she & her family will be moving back to the mainland after a year in Hawaii, to take care of Mom and Dad. Kathy and her husband looked at a bunch of houses and didn't find anything they really liked. So, on a whim, John told them about his discovery. We took them to see "The Pinnacle" and completely unexpectedly, they bought a home in that neighborhood that same afternoon.
We thought about it and were excited at the possibility of being so near to Kathy & her family. We ALL were very emotional about it...the thought of being so near to family after Sue and the girls left their family in Pennsylvania & moved 2700 miles to Washington, combined with the passing of John & Kathy's parents last year, and Kathy's family returning to Washington. The heart rules the head, so what did we do?? We bought another home...completely unplanned, completely NUTS! Who ever knew that a new home could be an "impulse purchase"?
But now we are looking forward to being Kathy's neighbor in a couple of months - that really is the big attraction, the view is a nice bonus.
What exactly is this view???
Get yourself some napkins (just in case) and then click on the pics below:
It is still a bit hazy, but the treetop view is nearly endless, Mt. Rainier is right in our backyard, and, way off at the horizon are the Olympic mountains. A million dollar view that comes free with the house!

Ken's first words when we clicked on the pictures for a better view..."what did I do wrong?!" It is gorgeous, congratulations! Although I know I would spend too much time looking at the windows and not getting any work done =) So, when do we see pictures of the new house to go with the new view
