Ke'ala for short...

Ke'ala just turned 7 on August 13th. She will be starting 2nd grade next week.

This is one of my favorite pictures of her. She is so stinkin' cute!!

She is a year & 1/2 younger than Devon. She is an inch and 1/2 taller than Devon. Devon introduces her as her "bigger - younger sister".

Ke'ala & Devon are twins - Guturnal twins. (We need to get a hold of Weber's so it can be added to the dictionary!) One day the two of them were discussing how alike they are. They questioned me about "twins" and what types of twins there are. After explaining identical & fraternal twins, then after quite the conversation - they announced that they are Guturnal twins. As explained by them: "Guturnal - because we are step sisters, because we look NOTHING alike, because we have different mothers, and because we are almost turning into each other"! They, at times, refer to each other as "gutural twin" instead of by their names. The "Turning into each other" part - I think that is because they have to have everything matching.... clothes, hair styles, amount of juice in their glass... Everything is as equal as possible. When they play, they come up with the same ideas or even sentences... When that happens now, they just giggle and are not surprised by it anymore - Because, they're guturnal!! DUH!

Ke'ala loves creative things. She was coloring and cutting paper and doing all sorts fo things one day when I came home from work. She told me that she is good at all that stuff because she is a crafty girl!!

She is really very funny. I can't wait to come to Pennsylvania so she can meet all of her other "step-cousins". What fun we will have!!
